Internal welding system for pipelines

Internal welding system for pipelines
Internal tube welding systems for pipeline construction are subject to extreme environmental conditions. Accordingly, they have to be of tough and robust design. The same holds for the electricals, the proper functioning of which may neither be badly affected by vibrations nor by temperatures ranging between -30 und + 55 °C, as usually occur on site.
iSAM´s proposal to mechanically improve such a welding robot for the construction of pipelines for gas, water and oil does not only comprise the integration of a digital arc control. It also features failure strategies for the robot´s movement and welding action.
Comprehensive process recording provides a profound basis for a reliable quality documentation.
Apart from reconditioning a robot for 48" tubes, a smaller alternative was newly developed best suited for tubes in the range of 36" - 40".
